American Security is pleased to announce our entrance into the EAS field of Acousto-Magnetic (AM) technology. Expanding on our line of successful Radio-Frequency systems, we now offer another excellent solution for shop owners and installers who prefer AM technology or for locations where RF may not be the best choice. It is a very popular type of EAS system used mainly for protecting small items such as cosmetics due to the possibility of using tiny tags and labels.

We currently supply our AM 58 kHz technology inside of our AluProfi antennas and it has already proven to be among the best in the AM market. The system is fully digital and adjustment is done entirely through our software application. Ease-of-use, excellent detection, and unparalleled flexibility make it a super choice for shop protection.

An AM system consists of a fully independent controller unit and the antennas. The controller transforms and generates the power for the antennas, and stores the settings configured in the software. One controller can control 2 transmitters and 4 receivers. In the software, the antenna can be configured to be a transmitter, receiver, or mono without changing the antenna at all. So there are many different exit configurations that can be designed using just one controller unit. Digital technology enables self-adjustment (autotuning) of the unit.

Our newly designed AluProfi antennas are available in two sizes; AluProfi Mini and AluProfi Maxi. The popular Mini has excellent detection distances (up to 2,60m for dual) while the Maxi provides even better detection distances (up to 2,85m) between antennas. An easily removable plexi sheet is used to cover advertising leaflets that can be placed on both sides of the antenna.
